Currency converter
Convert currencies using daily European Central Bank (ECB) reference exchange rates. Rates are updated on ECB working days.
How accurate are these exchange rates?
The figures come from ECB reference rates distributed through the Frankfurter exchange-rate API. Rates are published on ECB working days, generally around 16:00 Central European time. They are indicative reference rates, not live trading quotes.
For two currencies other than EUR, we calculate the cross-rate from the same day's EUR reference values. The exchange-rate date is displayed above. When a rate cannot be refreshed, the converter explicitly marks an available recent cached rate as old; it never substitutes an invented rate.
Are these the Post Office or M&S Travel Money rates?
No. The Post Office, M&S Travel Money, banks and forex providers apply their own customer buy/sell rates, spreads and sometimes fees. Your actual exchange amount can differ, even when using the same currencies and date. Check the provider's quoted rate before exchanging money.
